This hand-crafted metal mold has been made with extra heavy gauge tin it is a true antique reproduction. The base measure 7/8". This mold will take about 4-6 ounces of wax depending on whether you use beeswax or paraffin or something in between. Use 2/0 square braid wicking when making beeswax candles for better burn rate.MD431 2/0 square braid wick is suggested for tapers upto 1" diameter and MD426 or MD427 wick for upto 3 1/2" diameter candles.
